No News Is Good News

The article:
Daily Mail, Saturday, October 23, 2010. By Simon Cable
"Kate shows a girl's best friend is her airbrush
Pouting provocative, Kate Moss shows off her figure and flawless complexion of a teenager. If only she could look like that all the time..
The pictures for the lingerie label Valisere, would appear to owe much of their allure to airbrushing and computer wizardry..
Miss Moss' annual holidays in Thailand and the South of France, where she lounges on the beach in tiny bikinis, have shown that she has developed slightly knobbly knees, a little cellulite and the odd wrinkle..
And during her recent public outings she has looked all of her 36 years, despite declaring recently that she has put her days of excessive partying behind her..
The Croydon-born model - who became known as Cocaine Kate after being exposed for drug-taking five years ago - said; 'I have decided to change my lifestyle. Too many vices. Too much alcohol'..
'It's about time I got myself in order because I'm no longer a little girl. So it's early to bed and early to rise'.. "

Comparing the old & the new:
Note the visiblity of freckles in the earlier issue (1967) compared to the later (2003)...

Visible difference in the silhouettes, appearance of the skin surface etc.. :

Looking at the pressure on celebrities. When they get captured naturally, without make-up, they tend to get abuse for it...

Pressure on women & young children....? Trying to achieve this supposed perfection.

Opinions:

"Articles like these are unfair. Kate Moss is just doing her job. As a model its not her job to chose whether a shot gets airbrushed or not so she shouldn't get slated for something that's not in her power. She's used to sell the product."

"No wonder females are under such pressure these days with comments, from the male writer, talking about 'a little cellulite and the odd wrinkle'. Its all part of the natural human body!!"

"Kates looking hot in the pictures. It doesn't really matter if she's been airbrushed. Aslong as she's selling the lingerie to reader"

"There's huje pressure these days to look perfect, whether its from airbrushed images, like these, or plastic surgery"

"I read ALOT of magazines. They're pretty much full of make-up ads, fashion shots.. nearly all of which would've been edited in some way. It makes you think about the amount of false advertisment these days"
